The PLN Twitter assignment has been interesting so far. I like seeing what other education technology account post as well as seeing what my peers post. So far what I've learned from using twitter is that using a social network to gather information may not be a first choice for most people. Usually going on twitter to post for EME 2040 is something I forget or something I wouldn't do naturally, it probably isn't how professionals use it in the real world.
I absolutely loved the web page assignment. I learned that creating a web page takes patience and creativity. While creating the website I tried to put myself in the place of a student or parent going through this website. I asked myself what information would they want to see. I liked the design aspect of the assignment and the creativity however I found myself frustrated at times trying to work with the website, sometimes the response time would be slow and frustrating. Here's the link to my site. http://tpc15b.weebly.com/
In this day and age, almost anyone in any career can benefit from learning how to make a website. I would like to be a lawyer so having a website that really advertises me and my firm would be great.
I love Diigo and how it works. I've learned how to annotate text on my computer, something that I didn't know how to do for a while making me usually hate reading ling text online but now I can annotate with Diigo! I like seeing what other people have to say about what I share on the group. I use Diigo for my other classes as well-I'm an english major so this application has been extremely helpful in my other classes.
