The "Flipped Classroom" is a different way of teaching and learning. What happens in a flipped classroom is that students are assigned to view recorded lectures at home that their instructors prepare for them. The students do this before they discuss the material in a classroom setting. Since students already have a basis of the material due to the lectures, the teacher and students spend class time actually engaging with the material, analyzing it, and discussing it. I find this method to be pretty useful, it gives students a chance to be able to use the teacher as a resource during activities.

New skills I learned with the two PowerPoint assignments was the use of the "master slide" feature in PowerPoint. It made keeping a consistent look throughout the whole PowerPoint a lot easier rather than if I just didn't create a master slide. I learned how to insert voice overs in my PowerPoint and make them run like videos. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The second PowerPoint assignment made me see PowerPoint in a whole new way, as an interactive tool. It shows me that teacher can do a lot with even basic programs. Next time I could make my slides more colorful.

This is important for today's student for a lot of work and ideas are created by looking at someone else's and modifying it. Students can also take what they need and change it based on their purpose or needs. An example is Mozilla Firefox.
