A Web 2.0 tool I find useful is Youtube. They are a lot of helpful resources on Youtube that can be helpful when it comes to students understanding content. For example, crash course by John and Hank Green are useful videos to help students understand key concepts. The podcast mentioned Twitter to be a useful tool in the K-12 classroom, however I don't find twitter to be that useful because I feel like a Twitter account is more useful when you're trying to network outside of school, or in college.
I believe scribd is a useful tool because it allows to students to read, whether print or podcasts, for a relatively cheap price, multiple books and resources that can be beneficial to their learning. Here's the link: https://www.scribd.com/
Student's can only have access to a certain number of books and audio books a month, so they'd feel more obligated to read since they chose what to read.
I know that my high school got a 3D printer while I was their and it was very helpful for those student's who learned better visually rather than text-based. 3D printing, in my classroom would be utilized to help student's learn geometry, as well as help student's foster a more artistic side having them create little 3D sculptures using computer programs and learning how to print themselves. I believe include an artistic element in the classroom is important to keep the students attention.
