The ELA standards I feel that I am the most ready are using different digital media and using many sources. The various work I have done throughout high school and college has taught me that using reliable resources is probably the most important thing when trying to seem credible in anything I do. Sources such as photos and videos can be used in a presentation to illustrate an aspect of a lesson. Maybe a standard that I need to work on is producing multi-media products to show my students. I don't really know how to make videos and presentations for students so that's something I'll have to work on.

 The technology software concept I'd use would be the socializing concept. Communication is crucial in the professional world and I'd use technology to help students get a boost on their communication and social skills. I'd do this by creating a blog for the classroom that will be strictly monitored of course. This way students can communicate with me and each other and learn how to use social technology responsibly.

 I had a lot of trouble with the newsletter assignment. Especially because I wasn't really familiar with what a newsletter was. After the assignment I think I got the hang of what a newsletter is and I think they are a great tool for teachers to communicate with parents. I learned how to create columns on word, how to insert dotted lines and lists, as well as using headers. I think the assignment overall was an effective way to get students to learn how to communicate with their class.

The "Flipped Classroom" is a different way of teaching and learning. What happens in a flipped classroom is that students are assigned to view recorded lectures at home that their instructors prepare for them. The students do this before they discuss the material in a classroom setting. Since students already have a basis of the material due to the lectures, the teacher and students spend class time actually engaging with the material, analyzing it, and discussing it. I find this method to be pretty useful, it gives students a chance to be able to use the teacher as a resource during activities. It made keeping a consistent look throughout the whole PowerPoint a lot easier rather than if I just didn't create a master slide.
